American Airlines System Rebrand Project
J.A. Watts, Inc. (JWI) is currently performing Construction Management services for American Airlines (American) in their System Rebrand Project. The project involves 358 airports within the American system domestically and internationally, including 86 airports within Latin American and the Caribbean, 16 airports in Europe, 3 airports in the UK, 1 airport in the Middle East, 5 airports in Asia, 8 airports in Canada, 5 reservation centers throughout Latin America, and 45 Ticket Service Centers across Latin America and Florida. JWI is providing expertise to American in a number of different disciplines such as contractor analysis and recommendations, preconstruction coordination and scheduling, overseeing overall project construction, maintaining project schedule and budget, resolution of field constructability issues, ensuring contractor compliance of the plans and specifications, millwork procurement, project documentation, and maintaining project transparency to the leadership team at American. JWI accomplishes this through maintaining teams in the field as well as at American Headquarters.
JWI maintains all necessary coordination with other airlines and airport operations that may be affected during construction. JWI works hand in hand with American to ensure consistency throughout and minimal impact to the operations as the top priorities. JWI provides complete project administration functions for American, keeping all information up to date and available to American via a secure fileshare site restricted to the pertinent project team members. JWI provides weekly status updates as well as weekly project meetings to keep constant communication for all project activities.
