JWI was responsible for all technology-related items ranging from submittal reviews to answering RFIs. Those items included, but were not limited to, overseeing and documenting the installation and testing of corridor-wide fiber optic, power duct and power cable, and documenting the installation and testing of corridor-wide ITS elements, including HD CCTVs, roadway sensors, roadway weather information system and DMS Type I/IIs.
The installation and testing of the prefabricated toll facilities also involved network switches, security devices, generator, fiber communications and all other equipment that make a tolling facility functional within the tollway system. JWI also oversaw the installation and testing of Roadway LED lighting,and led the
site-specific commissioning, integration and testing of the corridor’s ITS elements. Our team provided support for civil and electrical related construction issues, and took over project controls midway through the project to assist the Prime Consultant.
Our Professional Engineering Services included the following: construction issue; coordination of contractor work, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and extra work orders; and organization of progress meetings, monthly reports, documentation of daily activities, issues, pay estimates, materials, and material testing.
