O'Hare International Airport Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC)

At more than 3 million sq. ft., CONRAC at O’Hare is one of the largest structures in the Midwest. The Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) and parking structure combines various modes of travel – airline, light transit, rail, bus, shuttle, and both rental and privately-owned vehicles – all at one location.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

CONRAC is necessary for facilitating travel within the Chicago region and to destinations throughout the world, and JWI is proud to have provided construction management, design management, preconstruction scheduling, estimating services, document control, budget and schedule management, on-site quality management, and implementation of important safety procedures during each project phase.

The functional and visual focal point of the building is the Customer Service Center and the Airport Transit System station.  The design combines these two operations into one space that creates another “terminal” for the airport.
