WisDOT Zoo Interchange Core Phase 2 Reconstruction

JWI is serving as a subcontractor to Walsh Construction on the $310 million Zoo Interchange Core Phase 2 Reconstruction project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  We are providing surveying and construction layout services throughout the project.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The project includes the demolition of numerous existing bridges and retaining walls along with the construction of 25 new bridges, 31 retaining walls, and 10 noise walls in addition to over 2 million cubic yards of earth excavation, 904 storm sewer structures, and over 12 miles of mainline and ramp paving.  In addition to the surveying, JWI is also working with a partner firm to develop 3-D modeling of the entire footprint of the project to be used by the contractors and engineers in verifying quantities and checking for design conflicts.
