This month’s Project Spotlight is taking us coast to coast with Delta Air Lines!
J.A. Watts, LLC (JWI) has been selected to provide program management services for three new Delta Sky Club projects at San Antonio International Airport (SAT), Tampa International Airport (TPA), and San Diego International Airport (SAN). Together, these projects represent nearly 48,000 square feet of premium lounge space, supporting Delta’s continued investment in enhancing the passenger experience across its growing airport network.
As Delta expands and modernizes its facilities nationwide, JWI will provide program management leadership from design through opening for each Sky Club, ensuring successful coordination among airport authorities, design teams, contractors, airline stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams. Our responsibilities will include design and construction management, stakeholder coordination, budgeting and cost control, operational readiness (ORAT), FF&E procurement and installation, branding and signage coordination, commissioning, and project closeout.
At San Antonio International Airport, JWI will support the delivery of a new 10,750-square-foot Delta Sky Club within the airport’s new Terminal C development. Scheduled to open alongside the terminal in 2028, the new lounge will support Delta’s relocation to four preferential gates and provide travelers with a premium airport experience from day one.
At Tampa International Airport, JWI will help deliver a new 22,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club as part of the highly anticipated Airside D program. As Delta’s future home at TPA and the airport’s first new airside facility in more than two decades, the project will play a key role in supporting Delta’s continued growth while enhancing amenities for travelers.
At San Diego International Airport, JWI will manage the development and opening of a new 15,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club featuring a stunning 3,000-square-foot Sky Deck overlooking the airfield. In addition to coordinating the new lounge buildout, JWI will support Delta’s operational relocation to Terminal 1 and the transition from the existing Sky Club facility.
These projects further demonstrate JWI’s strength in aviation program and project management, particularly within complex, active airport environments where schedule alignment, stakeholder coordination, and operational continuity are critical to success.
With three new Delta Sky Club assignments secured in recent months, JWI continues to expand its airport club and lounges portfolio and strengthen its position as a trusted partner to airlines and third-party providers to enhance the passenger experience.
