JWI WINGS Celebrates National Volunteer Week by Giving Back

In recognition of National Volunteer Week, members of the JWI WINGS Chicago Chapter volunteered at Nourishing Hope‘s La Casa Norte location in Humboldt Park.
 
The team spent the morning unloading the morning delivery, stocking shelves, serving clients, and learning about Nourishing Hope’s mission to provide food, mental wellness counseling, and other social services to Chicago neighbors in need.
 
Thanks to the work of Nourishing Hope volunteers, the organization distributes the equivalent of 4 million meals each year. On the day WINGS participated, the group helped serve 109 households and 292 individuals!
