August Project Spotlight: United Station Operations Center

Delivering Mission-Critical Success at Denver International Airport

As the Owner’s Representative, JWI led the successful delivery of a $10M, 10,300-square-foot Station Operations Center (SOC) for United Airlines at Denver International Airport.

This state-of-the-art facility is the “quarterback” of United’s Denver hub, supporting more than 550 daily departures. As United’s fastest-growing hub, the 50 United employees who work at the SOC help manage the air traffic control system, baggage connections, customer connections, and more.

Delivering this project required maintaining 24/7 airline operations while constructing a brand-new, mission-critical facility. JWI ensured seamless coordination, proactive risk management, and on-time delivery without disruption to daily operations.

Beyond execution, JWI partnered with United leadership to establish new facility standards—introducing modern technology, ergonomic design, and consistent standards across all seven United hubs. This effort not only met today’s needs but also set a new benchmark for United’s future operations facilities.

Projects like this highlight JWI’s expertise in guiding complex, mission-critical initiatives from concept to completion—protecting client interests, ensuring operational continuity, and delivering long-term value.
