This December, JWI is honored to spotlight our ongoing work at one of our home airports, O’Hare International Airport (ORD), as part of the O’Hare 21 Program! We’re proud to contribute to a range of unique projects shaping the future of O’Hare International Airport.
Featured here is the newly opened Terminal 5 parking garage, with its eye-catching helix façade—a true architectural standout! The first floor was successfully opened in August, and the garage was fully opened to the public in November.
In addition, JWI is part of the South Detention Basin projects, which will eliminate the Central Detention Basin and expand the South Basin. This work will allow for the upcoming construction of Terminal Area Program (TAP) Satellite Concourses #1 and #2, a transformation that includes new temporary taxiways, utility relocations, and roadway tunnels.
We’re also part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), contributing to upgrades on the East Taxiway and Terminal 3 improvements. T3 upgrades include the demolition of the former AT&T building and construction shielding to facilitate ongoing work.
We’re excited to be part of these transformative efforts at ORD. A huge thank you to the Chicago Department of Aviation and our partner firms for making these projects possible!
