Overview
The Cook County Systemwide Roadway Pavement and Asset Management program showcases our people’s range of capabilities to update, improve, and strengthen infrastructure. The team is collecting and integrating roadway asset data (including pavement condition, drainage infrastructure, traffic signs, pavement markings, guardrail, and more), mapping right-of-way boundaries, developing mobile and web mapping applications, and delivering pavement project mapping and condition analysis using PAVER across Cook County.
Throughout this program, JWI is strengthening CCDOTH’s asset management practices by ensuring roadway data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. JWI’s work emphasizes data reliability, integration, and usability—ensuring that insights are not only captured but also translated into better planning, decision-making, and service delivery. These efforts provide measurable, immediate value to CCDOTH’s business processes while also building a foundation for future improvements.
Final deliverables will include a pavement condition report, asset management roadmap, and summary documentation of all meetings, presentations, and interviews conducted. These will be complemented by interactive mapping tools and integrated asset management workflows, providing Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways with both actionable insights and practical tools to advance their asset management program.
