Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) Double Track Project

NICTD’s Double Track Project consists of adding 16.9 miles of the second track to the South Shore Line’s existing single-track route between Gary, IN, and Michigan City, IN. The $304 million project will also move the street-running tracks along 10th & 11th Streets in Michigan City, IN. It will include (8) new platforms at Gary/Miller, Portage/Ogden Dunes, Dune Park, Beverly Shores, and 11th Street (Michigan City) stations. JWI provides QA/QC Management, Engineering/ Inspection, and other staff augmentation/consulting services for the systems, electrical OCS, and telecommunications installation and testing scopes.
