Illinois Tollway Construction Management Services Upon Request, Non-Roadway (JOC)

JWI was part of the project management, construction management, and construction inspection team for the Job Order Contracting (JOC) Program Management Office (PMO). The JWI team performed PMO duties for dozens of JOC projects. Our responsibilities included managing the overall budgets, overseeing schedules, preparing tasks for processing, managing design, selecting contractors, processing proposals, and performing Construction Management for the work.

JWI worked with Tollway employees and stakeholders as a project manager, coordinating joint scope meetings, preparing detailed scopes of work, reviewing proposals, and inspecting the completion of work. Some of the projects that fell under the JOC program include the design, coordination, and construction of new CA bathrooms, replacement of carpeting at CA, installation of EV Chargers, installation of cameras, driveway replacements, landscape restoration, exterior building restoration, bathroom remodels, assessment and maintenance for boilers at 30 Tollway Plazas and maintenance buildings, roof rehabilitation at various locations, air unit and chiller replacements, culvert liner installation, and ductwork installation. Work included roadway adjacent tasks which required Tollway Maintenance of Traffic, and work at Tollway facilities.
