Orlando International Airport (MCO) South Terminal Complex (STC) Fuel Facility & Fuel Farm Upgrades

Overview

JWI provides Construction Administration Services to the MCO Fuel Consortium for the expansion of the existing fuel farm increasing overall fuel capacity at the new STC.

The South Loop project is located at an all-new terminal (referred to as the STC), south of the existing terminal at MCO. A new double walled fuel piping was installed, which provides a complete loop around the new gates allowing for continuous fueling from either direction while providing even pressure throughout the system.

The Tank Farm project will see the install of two new 100,000 BBL tanks over 3 phases.

  • Phase 1: demo of existing site obstructions and install of new temporary dike wall.
  • Phase 2: soil surcharge to preload the soil and impose soil settlement before tank construction.
  • Phase 3: 2 new storage tanks, the associated pipe system and supports, and build-out of the remaining portion of the dike wall.
