RUSH University Medical Center’s New Ambulatory Center for Cancer and Neuroscience Care

Overview

Also known as the Joan and Paul Rubschlager Building, the New Ambulatory Center in Chicago’s near West Side will be a 480,000-square-foot state-of-the-art destination for cancer and neuroscience care. At 11 stories, this building houses critical outpatient services and serves as a medical research, training, and education location, including added clinical trial spaces and conference rooms. A fourth-floor walkway connects the new building it to Rush’s Tower Hospital building over Ashland Avenue.The center offers a myriad of services such as:

  • Technology equipment for diagnostic imaging
  • Radiation oncology
  • Lab drawing and processing
  • Retail and specialty pharmacy
  • Retail spaces and food options
  • 90 individual cancer infusion rooms
  • 82 cancer exam/treatment rooms
  • Acupuncture and massage rooms

JWI is proud to be performing project management services as well as creating and maintaining a master schedule for the interior portion of the building. The building began seeing patients in 2023. The project management team remains on site as the project comes to full completion.
