Overview
The Physical Sciences/Molecular Engineering Building (William Eckhardt Research Center) is located on a site created from the demolition of the former Research Institute and Low-Temperature Buildings located between 56th and 57th Streets on Ellis Avenue on the University of Chicago’s Campus. The laboratory is a new six-story 160,000 square foot building with high-performance laboratories, clean rooms, imaging suites, hazardous materials areas, offices, conference rooms, experimental areas, and dining facilities.
J.A. Watts, Inc. (JWI) was responsible for assisting in-field superintendents, monitoring and updating project schedules, reviewing all weekly reporting and program administration, buying out and managing trades, as well as assisting in the LEED certification process.
