For the Delta Sky Club project at Kansas City International Airport (MCI), JWI served the management team in planning, designing, developing, and constructing the first airline lounge serving MCI. This is also the first-ever Sky Club for Delta Air Lines, built on a raised axis floor. The club space is approximately 11,000 square feet and features two Sky Decks, with a seat count of 229.
JWI’s role in this project consisted of many different elements. JWI began with the preconstruction development of the project and assisted with the base building coordination. JWI handled the procurement of furniture and food equipment. JWI managed the design team, THW, the engineering team, Newcomb and Boyd, and the architectural components of the project and coordinated everything from the IT teams to Delta Corporate Real Estate and Delta Sky Club. JWI also managed stakeholders from Delta User Groups and Delta Sky Club.
